The Force is strong in the latest rumours, as gamers reach out into the unknown for Master Yoda to answer our prayers for Star Wars Jedi: Survivor. Leaks can come from anywhere, but now, a series of toys revealed at San Diego Comic-Con might've spoiled a major plot point for Cal Kestis' sequel.

Released in 2019, Respawn Entertainment stepped away from the successes of Titanfall to tackle a very different world.

Tapping into the potential of the years between George Lucas' original Star Wars trilogy and the underwhelming prequels, we got to explore more of Order 66's aftermath with a brand-new cast of characters (and a few familiar faces). Safe to say, Fallen Order was a huge hit that quickly led to the sequel.

What Do The Jedi: Survivor Toys Reveal?

Ahead of Star Wars Jedi: Survivor's release next year, we're anxious to find out anything about what's next for Cal. When the first trailer dropped, we got a look at villainous-looking Pau'an Imperial senator and an unknown assailant swinging a red lightsaber, players are also demanding to know who is in the Bacta tank.

We know Survivor is set five years after the events of Fallen Order, which conveniently places it around 10 years after Order 66 and exactly when the Ewan McGregor-led Obi-Wan Kenobi series is. Polygon has given a first look at some Hasbro toys for the game - which offer a glimpse of a more mature Cal. Does this mean we'll be getting another time jump to introduce a bearded and rugged version of the character?

Remember, the first Jedi: Survivor trailer featured a clean-shaven Cal. He's also seen with a blaster here as well as his lightsaber. Taking a leaf out of Han Solo's book, it implies that Jedi: Survivor will be more of a shooter. Then again, there are questions about why Cal has ditched his signature weapon in favour of a blaster. Much like Obi-Wan, he's likely hiding from the Inquisitors

What Else Do We Know About Jedi: Survivor?

There's also the return of the fan-favourite BD-1, as that booping droid is sure to have a part to play in Survivor. Elsewhere, there are KX Security Droids - which are the same as Rogue One's K-2SO. Expecting these will be antagonists, this toy has some sort of canister on its back, suggesting you'll have to shoot it. Finally, there are the B1 Battle Droids that weren't in the first game but featured heavily in the prequels.

Another set includes the Riot Scout Trooper from Fallen Order, the KX Security, and the MagnaGuards you might remember protected General Grievous in Episode III. It definitely looks like we're going with a prequel theme here, which makes another time jump even more confusing. Either way, the latest leaks claim that Jedi: Survivor could be targeting an "Early March 2023" release. With the likes of Breath of the Wild 2 settling in alongside Jedi: Survivor, next year is already shaping up to be massive for the industry.
