It's fair to say that while Respawn Entertainment's Star Wars Jedi: Survivor has had a better start to life than Arkane's Redfall, it's felt a bit like doing the Kessel Run as we try to dodge glitches, game-breaking bugs, and graphical disappointments more frustrating than Jar Jar Binks.

Respawn has deployed its pit droids to work on hotfixes and patches, with promises that weeks of work will have the sci-fi Souls-like back in the pod race before long. The latest frustrating glitch sees players being robbed of their Star Wars Jedi: Survivor pre-order bonuses

Jedi Survivor deluxe edition and pre-order content missing

Over on Reddit, numerous fans are reporting that their pre-order and deluxe edition items are vanishing without a trace. That means your Obi-Wan Kenobi-inspired "Hermit" cosmetic is nowhere to be found.

Posting on Reddit, u/Tae17Wong wrote, "I pre-ordered the deluxe edition of Jedi Survivor and for the first few days, I had all the extra content that came with the pre-order and deluxe. Got on yesterday, and all the DLC content has disappeared."

Others soon chimed in, as one wrote, "Yeah, just ran into the same issue on Xbox. I had all of the content for the first week. I was playing today when suddenly my game crashed and when I loaded back in all of the extra content was just gone."

A third concluded, "Oh good, glad it's not just me. Add another thing to the fix it list. I guess. This game kicks ass but it's kind broke [sic]." There's speculation that one of the game's many patches has caused the missing DLC content.

EA vows to fix the latest Jedi: Survivor glitch

Following the reports, EA confirmed it is "aware of the reports" and is "investigating the issue." Community Manager EA Leeuw said, "If we have any updates, we hope to be able to share them with you as soon as possible."

The publisher has given a detailed workaround on the game's support page, but apparently, items are disappearing even when restored. Even though the issue is reportedly affecting all platforms, it seems to be more prominent on Xbox.

As the support ticket is still open, EA is presumably working on fixing the bonus glitch once and for all. Missing out on some wardrobe options is one thing, but at least it's not permanently losing your XP to a troll. It seems that (for now) the glitches and bugs have the high ground on Jedi: Survivor
