We all know that Pokemon are some of the cutest critters in gaming, with a range of furballs that have melted our hearts being joined by majestic monsters that would make for perfect tamed pets.

Sometimes, our first instinct is to give a Pokemon a massive hug, even if it bites. Whether it's Lechonk, Pikachu, or something more niche like Mr. Mime, their dangers are always masked by cuteness.

So much so, someone decided that Pocket Monsters actually make for the perfect snuggle buddies. Well, that is when they're in Squishmallow forms like Gengar and Pikachu - we're not sure we'd want to share a bed with an actual Charizard.

Two new Pokemon to join Squishmallow lineup

The Pokemon Squishmallows Wave 1 saw Gengar and Pikachu released as the cutest cuddle toys on the market. After their success since launching in November 2022, the collection is now set to expand.

Squishmallows and Nintendo have been at it again, revealing a second wave of Pokemon squishies that will join the existing lineup.

In a typically heartwarming fashion, both Pokemon and Squishmallows posted the same advert on their respective Instagram pages, which showed Gengar and Pikachu on FaceTime alongside the new additions of Snorlax and Topegi.

When will the Snorlax and Topegi Squishmallows be available?

Unsurprisingly, both Pikachu and Gengar sold out online almost as soon as Wave 1 launched. Slightly different versions of the plushies then started to pop up in retailers like Walmart during the month of February.

With an increasingly likeminded reception for the Gen 1 Snorlax and Gen 2 Topegi expected, The Pokemon Company and Squishmallow makers Jazwares have kept any release date for the plushies firmly under wraps.

Things are so covert, we don't know what sizes to expect. Massive Snorlax toys have already become a hit sensation from Pokemon, and a 20-inch Squishamllow will undoubtedly be the ideal present for a franchise fan or someone simply in need of a good snore.
