With the release date of Detective Pikachu Returns right around the corner, Pokemon GO players can expect to see the adorable detective popping up in their own adventures.

The crossover is the second event in a busy October for Pokemon GO, and with Pokeween around the corner it is only going to get busier.

Detective Pikachu is coming to Pokemon GO

Between October 5, at 10:00am. and October 9, 2023 at 8:00pm local time, Pokemon GO players can expect to bump into some unique Pokemon.

During the Pokemon GO and Detective Pikachu Returns crossover event, players can expect to run into special costume versions of Pikachu, Raichu, wearing cute little detective hats, and Slowpoke in a cowboy hat. Shiny editions of the costumed Pokemon are also able to be found.

Trainers can also enjoy surprise encounters with Pikachu wearing their detective hat once per day by taking snapshots.

October is a busy month for Pokemon GO

The month of October has a lot going on for Pokemon GO fans, from free events to paid items.

The Ticket of Treats is a paid ticket which costs the local equivalent of $5 and grants access to "spook-tacular Timed Research opportunities throughout the month".

Other events will include the Harvest Festival from 12-17 October, Incense Day on 21 October, and of course, Halloween from 19-31 October.

While not too much is known about the events which will fill the rest of the month at this stage, it is bound to be a busy one.
