Halloween events in video games are starting to rear their heads just in time for spooky season, and we couldn't be happier about it, to tell you the truth.

Seasonal updates are the best thing that many games can do, helping players to get in the festive spirit, even if that spirit is verging on poltergeist-levels. It's a real treat for those looking for an excuse to get back into the games that they care about - and Pokemon GO is ready to deploy some extra goodies for players.

Pokemon GO chooses treats over tricks

If you're subscribed to Amazon Prime, then there's good news for your spooky catching sprees, because there are free items waiting to be collected by you.

Subscribers to the service can bag themselves a free Greavard wig, a new trim for players to rep that reflects the spooky dog Pokemon and its shaggy hair. It's pretty good timing given that the season of scares is finally here, and the candle on your head may or may not offer you an eerie glow as you walk. Okay, it probably won't, but you can't blame us for dreaming.

If you don't have Amazon Prime, though, it's not worth panicking - as you can actually get the cosmetic from the game's shop when it launches soon.

When can I claim my Greavard Wig?

If you want the new trim for yourself, you can bag it right now with Amazon Prime at this link, or if you're planning on buying it with PokeCoins, you can do so when it lands in the shop on October 19.

It's a pretty charming touch, and it's just the thing you'll need to get into the spooky spirit. We'll take a single wig over nothing, to be fair.
