The dollar signs are ringing in Pocket Pair's eyes, as the developer is seemingly realising what Palworld could be if it embraces the same crossover chaos that everyone else does. Although only in its infancy, Palworld has the potential to grow far beyond its confines as 'Pokemon with guns.'

Minecraft has become known for its weird and wonderful collabs with the likes of Star Wars and The Simpsons, Fall Guys has Sonic the Hedgehog and DOOM, but when it comes to the king of crossovers, Fortnite has it in the bag. Could Pocket Pair take a leaf out of Epic Games' book?

As shared by VideoGamer, Pocket Pair Community Manager Bucky_CM was asked about potential collabs on the game's Discord. Bucky said, "Depends on if it is suitable or not. We are certainly open to discussing these things but we don’t want to just put Palworld in anything for the sake of it."

It sounds more like we'd see Pals jumping over to other franchises (we're looking at you, Fall Guys), but it could work the other way. Still, we imagine the legal grumblings between The Pokemon Company, Nintendo, and Pocket Pair would count out a Pokemon crossover.

Even if we could imagine a world where Pal and Pokemon could live harmoniously, it would hardly be harmony. One of the big gripes of Palworld's Pokemon-inspired world is that it's a violent place filled with bloodshed. This goes against everything Pokemon has spent the last 28 years building as a family-friendly Nintendo franchise.

Ideas of lucrative crossovers take an interesting turn when you remember the idea that Microsoft could be eying up Pocket Pair. Microsoft is already working with Pocket Pair for dedicated Xbox servers and apparently used the game to showcase the future of Xbox games.

Forbes says there's "little doubt" that Microsoft will try to snatch up Pocket Pair before the developer ends up releasing a PlayStation version of Palworld. Imagine Vault Boy or Master Chief outfits for your Palworld players, or what about leaning into the Call of Duty comparisons and seeing those two worlds collide?

We know Palworld has a stuffed roadmap that will include everything from PvP to new islands to explore, and if some of those contain other famous franchises, don't be too surprised. While there's been a slight dip in Palworld players, we don't see the monster-catcher going anywhere just yet - especially not if it embraces the collab
