MultiVersus is back, and while its hiatus was unfortunate, it appears to have found its audience pretty quickly with more than 100,000 players on Steam after the relaunch.

Still, before we can start getting excited about a whole host of potential new characters, developer Player First Games will need to re-add many of the features from the game's Open Beta period back into the game. And now, after a few days of relative silence, we have an update.

MultiVersus Game Director offers update on open beta features

Speaking on X (formerly Twitter), Game Director and Player First Games co-founder Tony Huynh said "Thanks you for the feedback!"

"The team is hard at work on it. Some of the missing settings and features from the open beta are incoming, team colors, end of game stats, swapping side and neutral attack, adjustable input buffer settings, etc. More info soon!"

In a follow-up post, Huynh said "Many of these features are currently implemented and are in testing and we had planned", nothing the rollout was slowed by MultiVersus being ported to Unreal Engine 5 and adding fresh netcode - two major reasons the game went dark for so long after the beta.

You'll soon be able to buy Battle Pass tiers in MultiVersus

While many players take issue with being able to pay to speed up progression, one reply specifically asks if the option to purchase battle pass tiers will come in order to help "busy people" save time.

"Yes, we are working on this. Thank you for the feedback," was Huynh's response, with many additional responses taking issue with the potential change.

Some complain players should get XP for more than just challenges, while others took issue with having additional purchasing options added to a game where you can already buy characters, cosmetics, and bundles.
