The return of MultiVersus has been a long time coming, and given that it totally fell off the map between its beta and the current teases of its return, the brawler has some goodwill to earn from fans once again.

MultiVersus showed huge promise in its beta, serving as a mechanically impressive Super Smash Bros. clone that stepped into the live service field. It offered players a chance to fight each other for free, while its return is expected to offer exactly the same, with plenty of new characters waiting in the wings.

The characters themselves are a big deal for players, and with this in mind, a new reveal has fans totally thrilled. It looks like Mr. J is getting the last laugh here.

Mark Hamill's Joker is coming to MultiVersus alongside Kevin Conroy

It looks like Smash Bros. isn't the only launch-based fighting game with an iconic Joker. MultiVersus has revealed that Batman's arch-nemesis, The Joker, will appear in the game. Even though his appearance alone is compelling, it's the voice actors for The Bat and the Clown Prince of Crime that have fans excited.

From the first word out of Joker's mouth, it's clear that Mark Hamill is returning to voice the character. Following the passing of Batman voice actor Kevin Conroy in November 2022, this makes the game one of the final times that he and Hamill will come together as a duo.

Knowing that Hamill is coming back to reunite the actors, the replies are going bonkers. After all, the pair starred in a number of projects together as the iconic antithetical characters, most famously the acclaimed Batman: The Animated Series from the '90s.

One fan cheered, "Now THIS is what the fans have been wanting to see. The hype is unreal," while another added, "THIS is how you do a character reveal trailer!!! 🔥🔥🔥." A third concluded, "MARK HAMILL VOICE ACTING WE WON."

It's also expected to be one of the last times that Mark Hamill will voice The Joker, too, as he's reiterated once again that he's interested in retiring from the character after so many years of appearances. If fan reaction is anything to go by, the clash of Bat and Clown is going to be one to remember.
