Forget Horizon Forbidden West, put down Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, and move over Elden Ring, it looks increasingly likely that God of War Ragnarok will be 2022's biggest game - sorry Hogwarts Legacy. Be wanted though, as Kratos gets ready to lift his Leviathan Axe for what could be the last time, the God of War Ragnarok spoilers are out there in the wild.

In 2018, Sony Santa Monica took the war-wounded God of War franchise and gave us a reboot for the ages. Serving as a long-awaited sequel to 2010's God of War III, the game took us to a whole new mythology as we swapped the scorched plains of Greece for the colder climes of the Nine Realms. With God of War being dubbed one of the best games of all time, it's no surprise there's a lot riding on Ragnarok to up the ante.

Are God Of War Ragnarok Spoilers Coming?

After SSM played the long game with Ragnarok's marketing, we're assured the AAA title definitely is dropping in 2022. Unfortunately, it means that it won't be long until spoilers will be crawling out of the depths of Reddit and onto your Twitter feed. With confirmation this is the concluding chapter of the franchise's Norse mythology, some are theorising this could be the end of the road for Kratos.

Speaking on the XboxEra Podcast, Nick "Shpeshal_Nick" Baker claims that a potential Sony data breach means major God of War Ragnarok spoilers are already out there. Speaking to Jeff Grubb, Baker warned, "Sony may have a little bit of an issue, a security problem," and suggested that something has gone down recently.

Baker got in some trouble when he leaked The Last of Us Part 1's gameplay and screenshots, and he implies that the same source that gave him access to the above could be back with Ragnarok secrets. Baker concluded, "I might be getting some stuff from an angry Greek fellow that's dabbling in Norse mythology at some point, I don't know."

What Is The God Of War Ragnarok Release Date?

Sony definitely has it rough with this kind of thing, but you might've thought it'd sorted things by now. Before The Last of Us Part 2 released in 2020, a cataclysmic spoiler leak revealed major beats like THAT iconic golf club scene and is largely to blame for the game's panning by toxic fans. Naughty Dog had to suck it up and continue regardless, but it'll be a shame if history repeats itself for SSM and Ragnarok

Either way, there are only a matter of months until we find out what's next for Kratos and Atreus. After what seemed like an eternity of speculation and trying to sift through merchandise leaks to pin down an official release, Sony confirmed God of War Ragnarok is coming to PS4 and PS5 on November 9. Preorders are already live for the various editions (if you can get them), but with the spoilerific snoops already on the prowl, you'd better watch your step.
