EA Sports FC fans sold by ‘Mbappe Catfish’ in Ultimate Team
As EA Sports FC prepares for its launch, the ratings and stats of Ultimate Team cards are slowly being released or leaked, and early signs are the pace is being axed while ratings are being inflated.
The day draws nearer where your Ultimate Team Starter Pack will define how you will operate through the first few weeks of action, picking up players and slotting them into your squad as you progress through the divisions.
And there's nothing quite like thinking you've packed Mbappe, especially so early on in the game, when defences will not cope with his pace and skill. But there are catfishes on the loose, and they're coming with mixed reviews.
EA Sports FC houses one incredible Mbappe catfish in Ultimate Team
One of the more interesting parts of the new Ultimate Team era is the inclusion of women, and with this comes a new crop of players to discover, some with extremely high ratings.
But now, when you open a pack to see the France flag, Ligue 1, ST, and the walkout animation, you might want to contain your excitement for one for a split second in EA Sports FC, as you could actually be onto a crop of women players instead of the future Ballon D'Or winner.
Kadidiatou Diani, a player for the Olympique Lyon women's team, has been revealed to be a solid 89 overall in EA Sports FC, where she will be a complete catfish for any Mbappe pulls.
But all might not be lost, as Diani's card is incredible too.
Ultimate Team fans relishing women's footballers after ratings emerge
After some ratings were leaked, including Diani's, many have actually relished this card amongst others, seeing four 80+ stats on the card.
Some even pointed out that you could place Mbappe on the wing with the EA Sports FC Chemistry rejig, meaning you could have a front three of Dembele, Diani, and Mbappe, which is frightening.
"Diani, Mbappe and Dembele will be lit," one fan said.
Another added, "Her, Dembele, and Mbappe, my defence is finished."
Of course, only time will tell whether she will be a good card in-game - many high-rated players often flop when it comes to using them - but that French combination is scary, and could be the winning formula for Ultimate Team's early stages.
