Even when playing alone, Diablo 4 is a great experience. Still, it truly comes out of its shell when you take to Sanctuary with your pals in tow.
Carving through legions of the undead has always been a blast when you're doing it with your mates, but for many, it can be difficult to find a party that's all around at the same time, are keen to play the same game, and can get away from their busy lives to sit down for a few hours of loot grinding.
For those struggling to find their dream squad, that's where a new third-party Diablo 4 party app comes in. Shhh, just don't tell Blizzard about it.
The fan-made Diablo IV party finder app is brilliant
If you're sick of the real matchmaking world and fancy jumping into something similar with Diablo, then you're in luck, as one fan of the game has developed a web app that will help to pair you with similar players so you can take on Sanctuary as part of a team.
A new post from Diablo subreddit frequentor u/EatableTrich has revealed their homemade in-game matchmaker so that you can find a new squad."After trying to get parties and basically playing all alone until level 70 and Blizzard is taking a while to get it done, decided to make one," they say.
The OP revealed D4Matchmaker and explains, "Need people though for matchmaking to work. It's all dependent on visibility and user amount, let's see how it goes." It's a fantastic initiative for a player to take - but Blizzard might not be big fans.
Blizzard could shut down D4Matchmaker
Given that Blizzard tends to like to do things itself, there's every chance the gaming giant could zero in on the fan-made matchmaker and issue a whopper of a cease and desist. Here's hoping that D4Matchmaker can persist, because it's a brilliant resource for fans everywhere that could do with a squad.
Speaking to GamesRadar, Game Director Joe Shely admitted a party finder service is a much-requested feature and confirmed, "It's certainly something that we'll consider." If Blizzard is going to do it itself, third-party services surely aren't long for this world.
An unofficial Diablo 4 party app is a brilliant idea, but one that will only work with your help - so get involved before it becomes redundant.
