There's a lot going for Diablo 4, especially for fans who have been tuned into the series for some time - but that doesn't mean it hasn't got issues for the most nitpicky.
Many fans have claimed that there are some serious problems with Diablo 4 visibility, with status popups taking over the screen in many cases where keeping an eye on baddies could be the difference between triumph and chaos.
Requests have, of course, been voiced on social media in Activision Blizzard's general direction, without avail so far - but some clever fans have found a plan to take care of the problem themselves.
Fans are having visibility problems in Diablo 4
Some Diablo 4 players are angrier than Lilith and have reached a breaking point in the game's subreddit. A growing number claim that the interface for the game is much too garish for them to be able to see anything that they need to in-game. And a new clip posted has more than proved it.
The video posted by EvilSqueegee shows off a fight with a screen caked in item names and notifications of attack dodges, fortification, and damage. It's a lot to take in, and it makes sense that players are fighting for some kind of change.
This issue seems to get even worse the more you level up, especially when you come across enemies that dish out more status effects and more damage with each step of progress. Thankfully, fans think they know the solution.
Fans want Diablo to take notes from Overwatch
For those banging their heads about theĀ Diablo 4 visibility, they think it can fix up its visuals by simply taking notes from another Blizzard game.
Overwatch 2 has an in-game option to toggle off status messages altogether, and though player choice doesn't always come first in the game, it's clearly a setting that works for those who are having trouble seeing the action.
Fans want Diablo 4 to adopt the same structure in its settings, which would ultimately be a pretty simple fix and wouldn't really get in the way of development. Who knows if Blizzard will implement such a setting, but more and more fans are desperate for it. After all, seeing the game at all would be handy.
