In The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, you’ll be coming across large quantities of Korok Seeds, but to make the most of them, you’re going to need to know where to find a familiar face from Breath of the Wild: Hestu.

Here, we’ll be breaking down exactly who Hestu is in the game, where you can find him, and just how he will help put those Korok Seeds you’ve been gathering to good use.

In Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, Hestu is initially located in Hyrule near Lindor’s Brow Skyview Tower.

When you find him, he’ll be cowering in fear and ask you to clear several enemy trees close by, starting the "Hestu’s Concern" side quest. Once that is done, you’ll be able to start trading your Korok seeds with him.

After your initial trades, or once you have run out of Korok seeds this time, Hestu will eventually move to Lookout Landing, where he appears to have hunkered down for now.

Who is Hestu in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom?

In The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, Hestu is one of the more recognisable NPCs you’ll meet during your journey and is the giant tree-looking character with a pair of maracas in each hand - he’s not exactly hard to miss!

For those unfamiliar with The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, Hestu is a returning character and a giant version of the smaller Koroks you’ll find along the way.

While you may need him to use your Korok Seeds (more on that shortly), you’ll also want to stay for the incredible dancing and wonderful music that plays after giving them to him.

Much like in Breath of the Wild, Korok Seeds are used in the same way in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.

Korok Seeds can be given to Hestu to expand your inventory slots, so you can carry more melee weapons, shields and bows. The more Korok Seed you bring to Hestu, the more weapons you can carry… but will you be able to find them all?

That’s everything you need to know about finding Hestu in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. Why not take a look at the other Great Sky Island Korok Seed locations as well?
