DLC for Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom has been a hot topic ever since its release, and we've got everything you need to know about a potential expansion for the game.

Tears of the Kingdom brought players back to the Hyrule of BOTW, and with the predecessor's expansion giving players an additional dungeon to tackle, players are wondering whether there are more challenges in store for TOTK.

Keep reading on for more information, as we explain everything we know about the game and whether you can expect to be paying for some DLC in the future for this hit title for Nintendo.

The short answer is no, there will be no DLC for Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. In an interview with Famitsu, the producer of the game Eiji Aonuma made a comment saying “We feel like we have done all we can do to create play in that world.

The world of Hyrule in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is far more expansive than that of Breath of the Wild, with players being able to explore both the Depths and the Sky - a feature that wasn’t available to players in Breath of the Wild, unless you were on Divine Beasts and solving their puzzles.

There are hundreds of quests to do, and even more Korok seeds to collect than before, so there is no shortage of content in this game.

In the interview, Aounuma goes on to say “The reason we decided to make a sequel to the previous game in the first place is because we thought it would be worth experiencing new ways to play in Hyrule. If such reasons arise then we may return to the same world.

There is hope for a sequel, but Aounuma also mentions that it is likely that it would be a brand new title overall that players would get to experience, rather than any sort of DLC.

It is uncertain whether we will see this particular Hyrule again, as players have now saved the world from Calamity twice - three times if you count Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity. Who’s to say there won’t be another time?

That’s all you need to know about the DLC for Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, with it looking like a rather shut case at this point in time.
