The Paraglider in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is one of the most valuable tools in the game, but many players are wondering how to get it as it is not immediately clear. The previous Zelda game presented the glider as a clear goal that you will be rewarded with after completing the 'tutorial' section, but there is no mention of it within the opening hours of the latest game.

While you can walk around just fine, there are plenty of big drops and gaps around Hyrule that are otherwise impossible to traverse without your trusty Paraglider, and with the introduction of sky islands, it has become an even greater necessity.

So, if you're looking for the TOTK Paraglider map location, or just want to find out how to get the tool, then make sure to read the rest of this guide below as we've got all of the details waiting for you.

How can you get the Paraglider in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom?

The Paraglider in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is unlocked when you activate the first Skyview Tower within Lookout Landing, which is just south of Hyrule Castle. It is essential for this as you will quickly realise, as the Towers now function by throwing you into the air - so you will be thankful that you now have a paraglider to break your fall.

You will need to complete the first couple of main quests once you land in Hyrule before the Tower can be activated however, but this won't take you too long, letting you get on with your gliding in no time.

Where can you get the Paraglider?

The exact place that you'll find the Paraglider in TOTK is in the northwest corner of Lookout Landing, but you will of course have to wait for Purah to give it to you.

This also gives you a handy fast travel point for any time you want to return to Lookout Landing, so it serves a handy double purpose for all of your travelling needs.

Does the Paraglider use stamina?

Unfortunately, the Paraglider in TOTK does consume your stamina meter, meaning that you won't be able to glide endlessly. This can be quite troublesome at the beginning of the game, as you will quickly deplete your stamina wheel across any large gaps or falls.

However, once you start to build the wheel up by using four Light of Blessings you will soon be able to use the Paraglider for a much longer period of time. This is perfect for when you use the Skyview Towers, as they send you far up into the air, allowing you to glide to your desired destination with confidence.

One thing that you will have to quickly master with low stamina is the last-minute glide, which can break any fall no matter the distance. Always ensure that you save enough stamina when falling for one last glider pull, and use that just before you hit the ground to ensure that you take no damage.

So, that's everything you need to know about the Paraglider in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, showing you how to get it and its location, alongside details about its stamina consumption too.
