A trend in video games over the past decade or so has seen these types of detailed manuals fade out of popularity. The one that you can fill in during TUNIC takes inspiration from titles like Zelda with its manual - informing you of your ultimate goal, providing tips, information on enemies and items, along with a world map.
Some of these Instruction Manual Pages are directly on the paths you will take across the world, often meaning they provide the most important information. Others can be found in various hidden areas, and seeking these out can give you a helpful edge.
TUNIC Instruction Manual Page Locations: 10, 11
Click to enlargeAfter you've begun the game and ventured toward the large golden door, you'll quickly come across a key. If you backtrack where you came down the stairs toward the Hero's Grave sign, you can use the key on a door. Open the door, and the first Instruction Manual Pages can be found for pages 10 and 11.

Click to enlargeAfter making your way through the eastern part of the first area, you'll come to a sign for the Eastern Forest and a large doorway. Inside you'll find some slimes to fight, and the Instruction Manual Pages for 12 and 13 will be ahead, in front of a small statue.

Click to enlargeAfter making your way through the room with the last manual page, climb down a ladder and go outside. Make your way down some stairs, and follow the stone path around to a respawn point and a golden pedestal where pages 14 and 15 of the instruction manual can be found.

Click to enlargeAfter acquiring the sword and defeating the TUNIC Guard Captain boss, make your way back to the starting area again. Directly in front of you are some bushes that can now be destroyed with your sword, letting you cross the wooden plank to obtain manual pages 28 and 29 from up a ramp.

Click to enlargeBack in the overworld, if you travel back toward the first spawn point just before the large golden door, you can find a wooden bridge on your left. Cross it and destroy some bushes blocking a ladder near the windmill. Drop down the ladder, kill the enemies in the surrounding area, and you can get pages 16 and 17 on one of the golden pedestals.

Click to enlargeIf you return to the windmill in the overworld and travel behind it, you can find a secret path that leads to the underground where you can follow a pink path. It will take you into a chamber when you climb down a ladder and exit through a southern door. You'll come onto another underground path before getting to an Autobolt enemy. Use the ladder just before this enemy and drop down onto the beach. Follow the beach south across some planks until you get to the other beach. Follow the beach until you get a ladder you can walk past to take a secret route behind a waterfall. Carry on until you get to Instruction Manual Pages 32 and 33 in the middle of the beach.

Click to enlargeOnce you've acquired the second key in the Overworld, you can enter the house and end up at the path around the lake, just behind the windmill. Take this route around and open the shortcut, and you can find the Instruction Manual Pages just in front of another shortcut back to the windmill.
- If you plan to max out your stats, make sure you track down each of the TUNIC Upgrade Points, which makes the end of the game much easier.

Click to enlargeAfter travelling beneath the well from the last page, find the room with the spawn point inside. Take the door to its left, and take another left to find the page next to a shortcut that has to be opened from the other side.

Click to enlargeOnce you reach the end of the area beneath the well and have collected the blue lamp, travel back. Once you are back in the dark you will see a door previously hidden by a shadow that leads into a room with three enemies. Kill them and open the gate ahead to come into a room with a spawn point, and the next pages ahead.

Click to enlargeAfter travelling through the dark tomb and into the West Garden, follow the route until you come to the first spawn point. Near there you can cross a walkway toward a blue path that leads to a crocodile enemy. Defeat the enemy and travel upwards across the narrow walkway where you can find pages 26 and 27 at the end.

Click to enlargeAfter finishing the West Garden and ringing the West Bell, travel back toward the large golden doors at the top of the overworld. Travel inside, and follow the path to the end until you get to the large hexagonal platform. On the right side of that room is a path that leads to a ladder. Climb up and walk forward until you are fully obscured and can't move any further. Turn, and using the highlight of the character through the wall, move down the hidden stairway until you come to the pages next to the head of a statue.

Click to enlargeAfter finding the previous page, you'll discover the ability to teleport, and if you travel back to the golden pedestal at the very start of where you spawn in the overworld, you can interact with it. Holding the A button for three seconds will teleport you to a spirit-like area, where the pages are in ahead just before a broken walkway.

Click to enlargeHead to the Eastern Fortress from the Overworld for the next Instruction Manual Pages. After activating the first pillar, follow the pink path to the next one, and activate that, letting you find the page on the other side.

Click to enlargeAfter collecting the last pages, climb down the nearby ladder into the cave with spiders. If you make your way through this area, you will come out in the Eastern Fortress, on top of a balcony overlooking a pillar and some enemies. Turn from the entrance, and you can find the next pages on the edge of the broken balcony.

Click to enlargeThese next three pages can be found in the same room inside the library in the sky above the Ruined Atoll. Once you teleport up there, get inside the library and move up the stairs past the hero's grave, and climb the ladder. You'll come into a circular room where you can climb another ladder that will take you into the laboratory. Use your Magic Orb to grapple into the main room, and the first set of pages will be inside a glass tube next to a blackboard. Just smash the glass to acquire it.

Click to enlargeAt the very top of the overworld map, is a door leading into the snowy mountains, and travelling all the way through this zone until you reach a set of stairs with an impassable door, will allow you to collect pages 20 and 21 of the Instruction Manual.

Click to enlargeOnce you have beaten the Cathedral area of the map and received the blink dash ability, you'll be able to travel back to the Overworld and access new areas. As soon as you’re back in the overworld and dash across the gap in front of you, there is a pillar with pages 8 and 9 to your left. Just blink dash over and grab it.

Click to enlargeAfter collecting the previous pages, carry on across the ethereal looking bridge, and turn left until you arrive at the waterfall just past the cave where you first acquired the sword. Blink dash over the waterfall, and you'll find a stone surrounded by water. Blink dash to the stone and collect the pages.

Click to enlargeAfter collecting the last pages, it will give you a way of opening a series of doors around the Overworld, one of which is directly in front of you. Blink dash off the rock, stand next to the door and press: down, right, up, left, up, right on either the d-pad or arrow keys, and the door will open, revealing pages 44 and 45.

Click to enlargeFrom the respawn point in the Overworld, turn around and climb the ladder to the side of the blue path. Follow the path down the stairs and turn right up the ramp, and you'll be able to blink dash across the lake into what looks like a mouth carved from stone. Inside is a room of complete darkness, with the pages straight ahead.

Click to enlargeGo back to the Overworld respawn point, and take the stairs down to the left. Go behind the waterfall and walk around until you can blink dash over to the two skulls on a walkway in the lake. Blink dash again to the opposite side, and carry on until you can see the pages on a rock in the lake. Blink dash over and collect them.

Click to enlargeThese next two pages can be a lengthy process. Firstly, go to the beach of the Overworld and travel all the way west where you can blink dash onto a broken walkway, and travel to the West Garden. From here, follow the path by blink dashing until you get to the nearby spawn point. Go south and blink dash onto the stairs next to the pillar so you can activate it by holding A. The golden pedestal in the West Garden will now be active, so if you can go back to the Overworld and teleport into the spirit realm where all the teleporters connect, the West Garden will now be active. Use the teleporter in there to go to the West Garden, and you will be able to blink dash onto some pillars which will take you to the pages which are obscured by a tree.

Click to enlargeYou can activate another secret door to get these two pages. From the old house in the Overworld, use its back door and follow the pink path. Dash across the gap, and once you're at the door, use the code: down, right, up, left, up, right to open it. Walk inside, and you can find the pages.

Click to enlargeYou'll need to head to the top of the Overworld for this one, where the large golden pillar is located, and where you'll have picked up the magic staff. Stand in front of the pillar, and use the code: up, right, down, left, down, right, up, left. This will let you interact with the pillar to grab two more pages.

Click to enlargeYou'll need to head to the mysterious mountain door to finally open it up. The secret code you'll need to open the door is littered across the Instruction Manual, but we'll cover it for you. You need to collect ten of the twenty fairy collectibles across the game to earn these last two pages of the Instruction Manual. Page 48 of the manual contains a checklist with the location of each fairly, and page 47 contains a seeking spell that can be used by tapping the button combination, leading you to the nearest fairy.
