Many Marvel's Spider-Man fans will want to know whether or not Marvel's Spider-Man 2 features multiplayer or co-op, and if they'll be able to swing throughout the skies city of New York with a friend - so keep reading for a full breakdown.

This is the next game in Insomniac's franchise, and if you've played the first two titles, you'll know that there are two Spider-Men in this world now, with both Peter Parker and Miles Morales being playable, and you're able to switch between them with ease.

However, you'll have to read on to find out whether or not you can team up with someone else during the exciting missions in the game, and whether Marvel's Spider-Man 2 has multiplayer or co-op options.

Does Spider-Man 2 have multiplayer or co-op?

Unfortunately, the answer is no, Spider-Man 2 is a completely single-player experience akin to the first two games in the series. Early on, when the game was first revealed, there were rumours you and a friend could play through the game together, but this was quickly proven to be wrong by Insomniac via a Tweet reply in May 2023.

So, while it has been quite some time since we had a great multiplayer superhero game, it looks as though we will be waiting a little while longer.

Can other characters fight with you in Spider-Man 2?

Without giving too much of the game away for newcomers, you may not be the only one fighting in the streets of New York in Marvel's Spider-Man 2. Occasionally, your counter-art Spider-Man may jump into a fight to help you out with a gaggle of goons... as well as a few other familiar (if not so friendly) faces.

That's everything you need to know about whether or not Marvel's Spider-Man 2 features multiplayer and co-op. If you're looking for more things to do in the game, be sure to check out where to find the Mysteriums in Marvel's Spider-Man 2.
