How to switch between Peter & Miles in Spider-Man 2

Getting to freely switch Spider-Men between Peter Parker and Miles Morales is one of the big selling points of Spider-Man 2, but players will soon notice that they won’t be able to do so at the start of the game.

Whether you prefer to play as the original Web-Slinger or his wall-crawling apprentice, you’ll be happy to know the opportunity to switch Spider-Men on the fly does come sooner rather than later. 

So, let’s get right into how to switch between Peter and Miles in Spider-Man 2. 

How to switch to Peter & Miles in Spider-Man 2

At this point, all you need to do now to switch between Miles and Peter is swipe left on the DualSense touchpad, press the square button, and the game will transition from your current Spider-Man to the other - who’ll look like they’ve been doing something else (like hanging out on rooftops or talking to citizens before you take control). 

There will be some situations where switching Spider-Men won’t be allowed, such as being right before big story missions or whilst you’re in the middle of a mission. Besides that, you’ll be free to change between Peter and Miles as you wish.

How to unlock switching in Spider-Man 2

You’ll be able to switch Spider-Men between Peter and Miles in Spider-Man 2 by using the FNSM app, which you gain access to soon after the Sandman boss fight at the start of the game.

However, you still won’t be able to switch Spider-Men until you’ve completed the 'Roll Like We Used To' missions and have unlocked the next one, 'Not On My Watch'.
