The Sims 4 third-person mod, otherwise known as the ‘Direct Controls Mod’ by Victor Andrade allows you to take control of your sims and direct them within the worlds using the standardised W, A, S, and D, keys. To learn more about this Sims 4 mod and how to download it, read on.

This mod is available from the modthesims source, or through Andrade’s blog. The mod essentially allows you to control your sim’s movements through keys rather than click interactions. With it, you’ll also be able to have your sims run to locations.

Once downloaded to your sims mods folder, enable script mods in the in-game settings. Open the cheat box, (CTRL + Shift + C) and press F1 to enable/disable the mod. This means you can shift in and out of third-person controls as and when you wish.

The mod is also fully compatible with The Sims 4 first-person camera mode, as always use mods with discretion though as they are not Maxis-made.
