Fortunately, yes, Timburr can be shiny in Pokemon GO, as clarified in the Community Day blog post. So, whilst you're out exploring in the game, coming across a shiny Timburr is a possibility.

Although the odds of encountering a Pokemon's shiny version in Pokemon GO is quite low - specifically, 1-in-500 - Community Day dedications like the upcoming Timburr event will boost the odds of a shiny encounter to 1-in-15 instead.

Compared to a Spotlight Hour, where the odds a shiny encounter don't increase despite a much higher spawn rate, this Community Day is definitely worth taking part in if a shiny Timburr is what you're after in your Pokemon GO travels.

Like most Pocket Monsters in the game, Timburr - as well as shiny Timburr - can be found in Pokemon GO by exploring the map as standard.

Although encounters can usually depend on luck with it not being a common wild spawn, Timburr encounters will be far more plentiful during its Community Day on October 15, popping up far more frequently throughout the event's duration.
