Project 007, a working title, is a new James Bond-inspired game being developed by IO Interactive. The legendary studio behind the iconic Hitman franchise is no stranger to stealth and espionage - just ask Agent 47… if you dare.

While an official title has yet to be revealed, Project 007 will be the first original James Bond title since 2012’s 007 Legends, which was released as part of the 50th-anniversary celebrations of the James Bond franchise.

Is there a release date for Project 007?

As of yet, there is no release date for Project 007. However, with the announcement of the game having been made in 2020, it can be assumed that development is well underway, and we may even see some more of the game in the future.

Project 007 trailers

So far, only one trailer has been released, officially announcing the development of the game. With a bullet being loaded into the chamber of Bond’s iconic Walther PPK, the trailer echoes the legendary 007 title sequence, ending with the famous James Bond chord.

We will make sure to let you know if any other trailers are revealed in the future though, so make sure to check back here soon for more details.

Which James Bond will you play in Project 007?

In an interview with Denmark's DR, IO Interactive director, Hakan Abrak revealed that Project 007 will not feature one of the famous faces playing the iconic agent.

While previous games have seen the likes of Daniel Craig and Pierce Brosnan play their respective versions of Bond, Project 007 will feature "a completely original story", with the studio having been allowed to "create their own digital Bond".

That’s everything we know so far about Project 007. While it is largely still under wraps, the idea of a new James Bond title with the masters of espionage and assassination at the helm is a tantalising one indeed.
