Princess Peach: Showtime is here, and you might be wondering how many levels are in the game or how much time it takes to beat the main story.

I've got the answers to those questions as well as a rundown of how the levels work in regard to Peach's different transformations. This is Peach's first solo game since Super Princess Peach way back on the DS, so you'll probably be pleased to know there's quite a bit of variety here.

How many levels are there?

In total, Princess Peach: Showtime has 30 levels and five boss fights. Levels are called "Plays" and each floor of the Theater has four of them (not counting the basement).

Each transformation for Peach has three separate stages for you to play through, with each floor having a certain amount of levels for you to complete before moving on to the next one. There are 10 transformations, making for a total of 30 stages all in all. The third level for each transformation is always found in the basement.

Before you move onto the next floor of the theatre, you'll have to defeat a boss first. After you've finished one, you can enter special stages where you need to defeat several enemies to get rewards. These are called Rehearsal stages, and there are five of them in total.

How long will it take to beat Princess Peach: Showtime?

The game shouldn't take much more than seven to nine hours for the average player to beat. The levels aren't very long - it's a simple game, and shouldn't take you much time to complete even if you're newer to the Mario franchise.

There's still a decent amount to get through though, and if you're a casual player or you're looking to complete everything the game has to offer - including finding all of those hidden Sparkle Gems - it might take a little longer.
