Pokemon GO Noxious Swamp: Dates and times
Noxious Swamp begins August 19, 2023, at 10am local time and ends August 22, 2023, at 8pm local time.

During the Noxious Swamp event, the following Pokemon will occupy the wilds of Pokemon GO:
- Zubat
- Venonat
- Tentacool
- Dratini
- Surskit
- Gulpin
- Skorupi
- Axew
- Skrelp
- Tyrunt
- Noibat
The best part? All of these Pokemon can be Shiny! This is the first global sighting of Shiny Skrelp in the game.
Pokemon GO Noxious Swamp: Field Research task encounters
Completing Field Research tasks during Noxious Swamp will earn you encounters with the following Pokemon:
- Grimer
- Dratini
- Trapinch
- Skrelp
- Noibat
- Mareanie
Aside from Mareanie, all these Pokemon can be Shiny too.

Pokemon Go Trainers can visit raids during the Noxious Swamp event for an opportunity to battle the Pokemon listed below:

Three-star raids
- Galarian Weezing
- Druddigon
- Turtonator
Of these Raid Pokemon, only Hisuian Qwilfish and Hisuian Sneasel don't have Shiny variants in Pokemon GO.

The Noxious Swamp event includes free Timed Research. This Timed Research features raiding-focused tasks. Completing the Noxious Swamp Timed Research tasks will net you encounters with Poison and Dragon-type Pokemon, like Jangmo-o.
You have until August 22, 2023, at 8pm local time to complete this free Timed Research and collect the associated rewards.
