Working out where to find the Cleric job in Octopath Traveler 2 is very important if you want to enhance the abilities of some of your party members. While each character in Octopath Traveler 2 has their own individual 'job', you can apply a secondary job with a new set of skills to make them even stronger.

But where exactly do you go in Solisitia to find the Cleric job in Octopath Traveler 2? Find out all of the details in the guide down below.

The Octopath Traveler 2 Cleric job can be found in the Altar of the Flamebringer, which is an isolated church to the east of Flamechurch.

You will want to first exit Flamechurch from the right hand side and take the Eastern Flamechurch Pass. You should eventually reach a rope bridge, so make sure to take that and on the other side should be the guild building.

All you need to do then is to head inside and speak to the woman stood in front of the statue and she should give you the Cleric Licence, allowing you to apply the Cleric job to one of your party members.

How To Unlock Additional Cleric Job Slots

At the beginning you will only have a single licence available, so only one of your party members will be able to equip the Cleric job. If you're wanting to obtain more though, you will need to acquire the following two items and bring them back to the guild:

  • High Priest's Amulet
  • High Priest's Book of Scripture

Furthermore, the Clerics Guild Master also gives you some information regarding the Legendary Weapon associated with the guild, stating this as the clue:

"There is a myth in the Wildlands that tells of a mysterious weapon. It is said that sealing away a certain evil entity will cause it to transform into a staff. That entity supposedly delights in the darkness found in children's hearts and can even take hold of them. Any child possessed can be seen wandering nearby at dawn.

If someone can coerce the darkness from their heart… The entity will be sealed into the form of a staff. The staff will be free from the entity's evil influence, leaving behind naught by a powerful weapon to be wielded. I often heard that story in my hometown of Gravell when I was young."

In even better news, you can easily claim one of the Cleric's EX Skills right inside of the guild itself. Head through the green door in the back to the right, and that should take you down to an altar that will give you the Prayer for Plenty skill. This skill lets you restore HP to a single ally, ignoring their max HP (20 SP), and as you can imagine this is really strong.

You will need to make sure that you've got Temenos in your party though, as otherwise, you won't be able to interact with the altar and claim the EX Skill.

To help you decide whether you want to apply the Cleric job to one of your party members, here is a list of Job and Support Skills that you will get with the class:

  • Holy Light (Light, 6 SP):
    • Deal light-based damage to a single foe.
  • Mystical Staff (Staff, 6 SP):
    • Unleash a staff attack on a single foe two times, and steal SP equivalent of 10% of the damage dealt.
  • Prayer to the Flame (Support, 8 SP):
    • Raise the physical defence and elemental defence of a single ally for two turns.
  • Sacred Shield (Support, 10 SP):
    • Grant a shield to a single ally, reducing damage taken from the next hit by 50%.
  • Luminescence (Light, 14 SP):
    • Deal light-based damage to all foes.
  • Heal Wounds (Support, 15 SP):
    • Restore HP to all allies.
  • Revive (Support, 40 SP):
    • Revive all allies

Here is the Divine Skill that you will unlock after purchasing all of the standard Job Skills found above:

  • Aelfric's Blessing (Support, 30 SP):
    • Grant a single ally the ability to act again at the end of a turn for three turns. Only one additional action can be taken per turn.

Combining this with something like Agnea's Latent Ability which extends all abilities to the full party can turn the tide of a fight very quickly. You will of course need a max BP boost to use this though, so it is very much a commitment.

Finally, here are the four Support Skills that you will unlock through the Cleric job in Octopath Traveler 2:

  • Resilience (Four Skills Required):
    • Raises the amount of HP restored to the equipping character when healed.
  • Inner Strength (Five Skills Required):
    • Raises the equipping character's max SP by 50.
  • Evil Ward (Six Skills Required):
    • Increases the party's success rate when attempting to flee.
  • Rise Again (Seven Skills Required):
    • The equipping character will recover with 25% of their max HP once per battle upon being incapacitated.
