The BAS-P SMG is now available in MW2 and Warzone 2. This brand-new Call of Duty SMG can pack a punch, but to wield it, you must first unlock it. So, without further ado, let's review the steps to unlocking the BAS-P SMG.
How do you unlock the BAS-P SMG?
The BAS-P SMG is free to unlock in the MW2 Season 1 Battle Pass. But, instead of a linear Battle Pass with Tiers, the Battle Pass System lets players forge their own path through the rewards based on their personal priorities. With this brand-new Battle Pass System in mind, it's critical that you take the right route and don't waste precious Battle Token Tier Skips.
If you want to unlock the BAS-P in the most efficient manner possible, you must progress through the correct Battle Pass Sectors. To settle a Sector and move to the next Sector, you have to unlock all five rewards in that specific Sector, including the High-Value Target (HVT).
Claiming items in Sectors requires the use of a Battle Token Tier Skip. You acquire Battle Token Tier Skips naturally by earning XP in MW2, DMZ Mode, or Warzone 2. Or, you can purchase Battle Token Tier Skips with CoD Points.
Starting at Sector A1, the fastest track to the BAS-P SMG is Sector A1, to A3, to A6. The BAS-P is the HVT of Sector A6.
Altogether, you will need 15 Battle Token Tier Skips to unlock the BAS-P SMG in MW2 and Warzone 2 — that's if you follow the optimal route. When Season 1 comes to a close, Infinity Ward will issue an in-game Weapon Unlock Challenge for any players who miss out on the BAS-P.
BAS-P SMG overview
The BAS-P SMG made its first appearance in the MW2 Campaign, where it was a favourite of Shadow Company Operators. As of Season 1, this fast-firing SMG is available in MW2 and Warzone 2.
The BAS-P sports an impressive combination of Damage and Fire Rate, which together create an SMG with one of the better Time-To-Kills (TTKs). Fitted with Subsonic Ammunition, Kill Skulls do not appear over the corpses of enemies you eliminate with this weapon.
The BAS-P SMG is a member of the Bruen Ops Platform.
