MW2 Max Rank: What Is It And How To Reach

The MW2 max rank changes with each season, giving players even more levels and rewards to earn with the prestige feature, which lets you go beyond the typical max rank. Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 season two is now here, and it adds a bunch of new content, such as multiplayer maps, game modes, and another Warzone map.

What Is The Max Rank In MW2?

As it stands, the max rank you can reach in Modern Warfare 2 is level 55. While this may not sound particularly high, the further you reach through the ranks, the longer it will take to hit the max rank. Although there are a variety of ways to speed up this process if you’re looking to quickly make your way through.

There are a variety of ways to level up quickly in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, including the following:

• Get kills and headshots in multiplayer matches.
• Complete Daily Challenges.
• Complete Career Challenges.
• Complete Bonus Challenges.

You can speed this process up with Double XP tokens or take part in Double XP weekends that will take place periodically over the game’s release. These are communicated via the official Call of Duty, Activision, and Infinity Ward social media channels.

While 55 stands as the max rank, this is just the beginning due to the prestige feature which has been a standard in Call of Duty games for a decade. 

Can You Prestige In MW2?

You can prestige in MW2, and it seems each season will add new prestige levels, upping the max each time. With season 1, players could reach prestige 5 once they reached rank 250, but with the latest season that dropped on February 15, players can now reach prestige 9 by getting to rank 400. 

Here are all the prestige levels and their max ranks:

• Prestige 1 - Rank 56
• Prestige 2 - Rank 100
• Prestige 3 - Rank 150
• Prestige 4 - Rank 200
• Prestige 5 - Rank 250
• Prestige 6 - Rank 300
• Prestige 7 - Rank 350
• Prestige 8 - Rank 400
• Prestige 9 - Rank 450
