Puget Lakes is an error code, which is just a name given to a particular problem within the game. The purpose of them is to inform the developers about which issues are cropping up, so they know what they need to focus on. In the case of Puget Lakes, this error code relates to server issues. Specifically, it seems to relate to server overpopulation.

Players are experiencing the Puget Lakes error when they try to log into the game. It tends to pop up after players go through the queue, booting players back out and forcing them to start the process over again. Seemingly, Puget Lakes refers specifically to the game servers being full, with too many people trying to log in at once.

The unfortunate short answer is, there's not a lot you can do. Server issues at the launch of a popular online game are almost unavoidable. Problems always occur, and there is no busier day in an online game's life than launch day. As regards to what players can do about it, there are really only two options.

First, your can continue trying to log in. It is a brute-force, solution, but if you are determined to get into the game as soon as possible, then you will need to be persistent. There is no guarantee how long it will take, but if you keep trying you should eventually get into the game.

Your other option is to wait. As painful as it sounds, the only guarantee is that the game will become easier to access over time. First, hopefully, the developers will manage to improve things on their end and make the game more easily accessed. Then, and this may take some time, the number of people trying to play the game at the same time will gradually reduce. The point is, this issue will go away by itself, sooner or later.
