In LEGO Fortnite, one of the first things you’ll probably be focusing on is upgrading your village and making it more appealing to prospective villagers, but to do that you’re going to need to know how to increase your Village Rating.

Whether you’re trying to keep or kick out villagers in the game, improving your village rating will give you access to an assortment of new resources and recipes that will help you improve your LEGO Fortnite experience.

To increase your village rating in LEGO Fortnite, you’ll need to keep adding buildings, utilities and decorations within the village boundaries.

Building a shelter should take top priority, followed by easily craftable furniture like beds to help set your respawn point, grills and ovens so you can access cooking recipes, and fencing to protect your villagers.

Once you’ve acquired the appropriate resources, like Knotroot or Marble Slabs, to put toward your village upgrades, all you’ll need to do is raise your Village Rating to reach the next upgrade level. This is, of course, easier in sandbox mode than survival.

Village boundaries explained in LEGO Fortnite

The boundary of your village in LEGO Fortnite is indicated by the glowing gold box that appears when you are building something (like the one you'll see below). After you build a Village Square, you’ll be given a large amount of space to operate in.

Any structures that you build within this perimeter will contribute toward your Village Rating going up, and NPC villagers will congregate here as word of your delightful village starts to spread across the LEGO world.

That's everything you need to know about increasing your Village Rating in LEGO Fortnite and making the most out of the village boundaries. Be sure to check out our Fortnite homepage, where you’ll find guides on how to get Obsidian, Malachite and Brightcore in LEGO Fortnite.
