Is Cult Of The Lamb Multiplayer?

A Cult of the Lamb multiplayer mode has been a much-requested feature, but the developers have been clear so far that the game's launch content will focus specifically on a single-player experience. Cult of the Lamb lets you create your very own cult and build your flock by spreading the word and conquering any heretics that think differently. While building a cult on your own sounds for a wild time, some gamers have been vocal about wanting to do it with friends, so read on for the answer to, is there Cult of the Lamb multiplayer?

Is Cult Of The Lamb Multiplayer?

For the Cult of the Lamb release version, there will be no multiplayer or cooperative aspect, meaning it will be a wholly single-player experience. Despite the lack of online functionality at launch, the game's art director, James Pearmain, has previously discussed it being potentially added post-launch, stating, "it's definitely something we'd like to do, but it's not something we'll do for its official launch." 

He went on further to say, "I think coop mode would be cool, but we need to figure out exactly how it would work and we've never offered online co-op, so that would be a real challenge for us." That means players who might be holding off on playing the game due to the lack of online or coop functionality, may still get their wishes sometime after launch. However, as Pearmain said, it's not a definite thing and with no solid plans, we don't know whether online functionality will take on a more cooperative or PvP direction.
