Apex Legends initially launched on the PS4 and Xbox One generation, but we have since moved into the era of the PS5 and Xbox Series X|S after they were released in 2020.

As a result, it's important to be able to play with your friends across different platforms, so you can squad up anytime you want and go hunting for a victory.

To enable crossplay in Apex Legends, you'll first need to enable crossplay in the Apex Legends settings menu. After that, to team up with a group of friends, follow these steps:

  • Go to the 'Friends' menu
  • Click 'Find Friend'
  • Type in their EA Public ID
  • They should now appear
  • To make it easier for your friends to find you, enable 'Email Address', 'PSN Online ID', 'Xbox Live Gamertag', and 'Nintendo Nickname' in the 'Allow users to search for me by' menu

Once this setup is complete, you should now be able to group up with players from other platforms.
