How to find an Iron Defense TM in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet

Around for over twenty years since Generation Three, Iron Defense is a fantastic stat-boosting move for physical tank builds in Pokemon games, especially in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet. Boosting a Pokemon's Defense stat by two stages with each use, Iron Defense is essential for any moveset in tank builds for PvP battles or high-level Tera Raids. Although, not every player knows how to get the TM for the move. Here is all you need to know on how to get the Iron Defense TM in Scarlet and Violet.

How to get an Iron Defense TM in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet

The Iron Defense TM in Scarlet and Violet can be found in multiple locations: near the Great Crater, near Tagtree Thicket, near South Province (Area Five), and Glaseado Mountain. The quickest solution, however, will be via crafting at the TM machine which you can get the recipe sooner.

Crafting At The TM Machine

The first way of getting the Iron Defense TM is by crafting it after defeating the Team Star Fire Crew. When you next visit a TM Machine at the Pokemon Centre, you'll find the Iron Defense TM (#104), added to your list of craftable TMs.

To craft the Iron Defense TM, you'll need 1500 LP, 3 x Bronzor Fragment, and 3 x Pineco Husk.

Near The Great Crater

Fly to either the East Province (Area Two) Pokemon Center or the Zapapico (East) Pokemon Center. Then, ride your Kiraidon or Miraidon to the above spot shown by The Great Crater of Paldea. You can spot the yellow light of the TM right by the wall at the edge of the crater.

Near Tagtree Thicket

Fly to the East Province (Area Three) Pokemon Center. Just ahead on the left, you'll see the charge quarry area with a large ledge towards the back. Glide with your Kiraidon/Miraidon to the exact spot on the map and you'll see the signature glow where you can pick up the Iron Defense TM.

South Province (Area Five)

Fly to either the South Province (Area Three) Pokemon Center or the Artazon (West) Pokemon Center. Ride your Kiraidon or Miraidone to the spot on the map above, and you'll spot the yellow glow or the Iron Defense TM on a circular cliff platform.

Glaseado Mountain

After flying to the Montenevera Pokemon Center, head to the above spot northeast of Glaseado Mountain just at the edge of the map. Keep gliding with Kiraidon and Miraidon until you reach the other side of the cliff right before the sea. You'll soon spot the yellow glow of the TM amongst a small crowd of wild Pokemon.
