Wondering how to evolve Scyther in Pokemon Legends Arceus? Pokemon Legends Arceus features many new Pokemon, one of which is Kleavor, who evolves from Scyther. Much like with Scizor, which is also explained in this guide, there is a particular method for getting yourself a Kleavor. Here is everything you need to know on how to evolve Scyther in Pokemon Legends Arceus.

How To Evolve Scyther In Pokemon Legends Arceus: Where To Catch Scyther

If you want to get the new Kleavor, you're going to need to catch a Scyther first. Luckily, this is fairly easily done. Provided you've made enough progress through the Obsidian Fieldlands, you can fast travel straight to the Grandtree Arena, then from there, head west into the hills and you should find a Scyther.

Scyther is aggressive in the wild, and there isn't much cover in this area. As such, you might need to battle them to catch one. The Scythers here are only around level 10-15, so bring appropriate Pokemon. They aren't too difficult to catch, so grab as many as you want.

Black Augurite is the evolutionary item required to evolve a Scyther into a Kleavor. As with most evolutionary items, these are quite rare. They aren't even available to purchase with Merit Points (which we have more on in our how to get Merit Points in Pokemon Legends Arceus guide). We have an extensive guide on Pokemon Legends Arceus Black Augurite, but the gist is as follows.

Black Augurite can be acquired as a rare drop when defeating a Graveller, as a reward for a request in the Coronet Highlands, or from Pokemon Legends Arceus Space-Time Distortions. Wherever you manage to get one from, simply use the item when you have a Scyther with you to evolve it.

  • If you'd rather evolve your Scyther into a Scizor, you'll want to get a Metal Coat from Simona's store. To gather the necessary Merit Points, check out our guide on Pokemon Legends Arceus Lost Satchels.

Kleavor's appearance in Pokemon Legends Arceus has not replaced Scyther's classic evolution. If you want to get a Scizor in Pokemon Legends Arceus as well as or instead of Kleavor, the process is fairly simple. Evolve your Scyther the same way, but instead of Black Augurite you will need a Metal Coat.

Metal Coats are evolutionary items that will turn an Onix into a Steelix, or a Scyther into a Scizor. In Pokemon Legends Arceus, Metal Coats can appear in Space-Time Distortions. For a more definite method, you can grind out Merit Points to buy a Metal Coat from Simona for 1000 points.

That is everything you need to know to evolve Scyther into Kleavor in Pokemon Legends Arceus. Yet to conquer Snowpoint Temple? Check out our Pokemon Legends Arceus Snowpoint Temple puzzle guide.
