Party Joinability settings are a type of privacy setting on Fortnite that determines who is eligible to join your party. You can choose between three options:

  • Anyone: friends, friends of friends, and random players from your match can join your party.
  • Friends Only: only players on your friends list can join your party.
  • Invite Only: only players invited by you or someone already in your party can join your party.

How To Adjust Fortnite Party Joinability Settings

You can view and adjust your Party Joinability settings in Fortnite from your Player Profile on the Sidebar. Open the Sidebar, and your Player Profile is the first tab at the top.

How To Fix The Fortnite Party Joinability Settings Bug

There is a bug with the Fortnite Party Joinability settings where your settings do not save after exiting Fortnite. Epic Games is aware of this bug, but they have yet to announce when the community should expect a fix.

In the meantime, however, there is a workaround to fix the Party Joinability settings bug. If you want to ensure that only the people you approve of can join your party, make sure to re-enable your Party Joinability settings each time you relaunch Fortnite, at least until this bug is fixed.

If you want authority over who ends up in your lobby, be sure to check out the Fortnite Party Joinability settings!
