Fall damage has always been a factor in Fortnite, but there are ways to negate it. This primer contains a list of strategies that'll allow you to fall five stories or more without taking damage in Fortnite.

Leap off of Grind Rails, Air Vents, or Ziplines

While leaping from high places usually results in death, Grind Rails, Air Vents, and Fortnite Ziplines all offer immunity to fall damage after use.

You can find Grind Rails and Air Vents all over MEGA City. Visit MEGA City and ride a Grind Rail as high up as you can, then jump off into the streets of the city to complete this challenge with ease. Alternatively, you can use a Fortnite Ascender to get to the top of one of MEGA City's skyscrapers, find an Air Vent, and use it to safely fall five stories or more without taking damage.

If you prefer to use a Zipline to complete this Week 9 quest, you can find Ziplines in the area surrounding MEGA City and at Points of Interest (POIs) like Lonely Labs, Brutal Bastion, and Shattered Slabs.

Land in water, leaf piles, bushes, or on tires

Falling five stories or more and landing on solid soil is a death sentence in this game, but water, leaf piles, bushes, and tires will soften your landing and prevent you from taking damage.

This strategy of falling five stories or more without taking damage in Fortnite is most easily executed in modes with building enabled. Build six or seven ramps up into the sky and jump off into something that'll nullify the fall damage to complete this challenge relatively effortlessly.

Negate fall damage with a Kinetic Blade, Lightsaber, or ODM Gear

Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 2 features an assortment of items that players can use to traverse the Island at lightning speeds and avoid fall damage too! The Fortnite Kinetic Blade, Fortnite Lightsavers, and Fortnite ODM Gear are all excellent tools for getting up high and then descending back down without taking damage.

You can acend to great heights and survive great falls with the Kinetic Blade in Fortnite.

Even if you're far away from any tall buildings, you can ascend five stories by Dash Attacking with the Kinetic Blade or grappling with ODM Gear. Once you're five stories or higher, let yourself fall back down, and you won't take any fall damage.

While you can't use Lightsabers to rise upwards, you can take advantage of the Force Jump to survive falls from five stories and higher. Simply leap off a tall building or structure with a Lightsaber equipped, then use Force Jump to negate the incoming fall damage.

Choose whichever method you fancy the most to complete this Week 9 quest and earn 12k XP toward your Chapter 4 Season 2 Battle Pass and Season Level.
