How to learn Force abilities at Rift Gates in Fortnite
A new Fortnite update, v24.30, has dropped, bringing plenty of new content and features to the popular battle royale title.
A new set of Star Wars quests has gone live, and one of the challenges requires you to learn Force abilities at Rift Gates. Completing this task will reward players with GR points that they can use to unlock free and premium rewards from the Star Wars mini battle pass. This guide will show you how to learn these abilities in the game.
How to learn Force abilities at Rift Gates
To learn Force Abilities at Rift Gates in Fortnite, you’ll need to interact with one of the holographic Star Wars NPCs, Anakin Skywalker, Darth Maul, and Obi-Wan Kenobi, that randomly spawn across the map. As a result, finding them is a bit tricky, and they usually appear on the island after the first storm phase.
Click to enlargeWhen one of the Star Wars NPCs spawns on the Fortnite island, you’ll see a unique icon on your map. While a similar icon denotes Anakin and Obi-Wan's spawn location, a red icon on the map with a Lightsaber in the center indicates Darth Maul's location.
Click to enlargeOnce one of the characters appears on the island, you’ll need to quickly approach it before someone else learns the Force abilities. After locating the NPC, interact with him by pressing the interaction button on your keyboard, and you’ll finally learn the Force abilities at Rift Gates.
To complete this task, players are required to learn Force abilities at Rift Gates three times in different matches. After that, the quest will be marked as completed, and they’ll be rewarded with 200 GR points.

Apart from these points, players will be granted the ability to sprint faster and double jump while the lightsaber is equipped, and that’s not all. Learning the Force abilities will give you one of the following skills:
- Obi-Wan Kenobi: Learn to use the Force to push objects and players away.
- Anakin Skywalker: Learn to use the Force to pull objects and players towards you.
- Darth Maul: Learn to use the Force to lift objects from the environment and hurl them at players
