Dragon's Dogma 2 is fairly hands-off with many of its quests and doesn't always give you much overt information on what to do, which is causing many players to get stuck on the Readvent of Calamity quest.

The game trusts the player to solve things on their own by talking to NPCs and exploring, but we'll all eventually come up against a wall we just can't break down no matter what we do. If for you this metaphorical wall is Readvent of Calamity, I've broken down all the steps it takes to solve the quest.

Starting Readvent of Calamity

You can begin Readvent of Calamity after travelling back to Melve once you've finished the Seat of the Sovran quest in the main city of Vernworth.

I recommend heading back here via Oxcart, as it's cheap and you can doze off for the journey to make it quicker.

After arriving at Melve, a dragon should be attacking the town which will trigger the quest to begin. You can also speak to an NPC here called Sigurd to get the Mystic Spearhand Vocation.

After fighting with the dragon until it flies off, you'll get the quest objective to 'visit Melve from time to time'. For this part, you just need to continue playing the game as you desire, visiting other towns, exploring, and completing quests for a few in-game days.

Eventually, when you head back to Melve, visit Ulrika's house at the top of the village (marked above). This will trigger a cutscene where you stay the night and she disappears. In the morning, head outside to start another cutscene, where Lennart will task you with finding her.

Where to find Ulrika

After Ulrika leaves Melve, you can find her in Harve Village, which is located to the west of Vernworth. The village's location and Ulrika's exact position can be found below.

Speak to her upon finding her until you exhaust her dialogue options, and the next stage of the quest will be triggered, whereupon you'll have to head back to Melve once more to inform Lennart how Ulrika is doing.

Speaking to Lennart and handing in the quest will grant you 2000 XP, 4500 Gold, and a Ring of Grit.
