One of the more important types of currency in Dragon's Dogma 2 is Rift Crystals (also known as RC).

This specific currency is related to various Pawn activities like summoning as well as buying items from Pawn Guilds. In the overall course of the game, you'll be needing a lot of RC as these can help you in hiring high-level Pawns - but, how exactly can you get them?

How to get Rift Crystals

You can get Rift Crystals by fixing up broken Riftstones, when other players hire your main Pawn, or through opening chests - though the latter is extremely rare.

Fixing broken Riftstones is probably the easiest way to get Rift Crystals, but they aren't indicated on the map, so you'll have to find them on your own while exploring.

Sometimes your Pawns will point you towards a nearby one based on their journey with other Arisen. Pressing 'Go' will let them lead you to it. After you've found one, go towards and press the required key to activate them. Then, you'll be awarded a small amount of RC.

While you're sleeping in an inn or house, your main Pawn will go on adventures with another Arisen.

After they return they will report you on what they did in the other Arisen worlds. For your main Pawn being hired, you will be awarded a specific amount of RC every time.

Opening chests

While RC can be found in chests, it is extremely rare, and they are generally located in locations where there are a high concentration of enemies (such as forests).

What is RC used for in Dragon's Dogma 2?

Rif Crystals can be used to hire high-level Pawns from the Riftstones and various items from the Pawn Guilds.

High-level Pawns can help you out immensely in difficult situations while the items you get from Pawn Guilds can help with various aspects of the game, including changing your appearance.
