As God of War's Kratos will tell you, "War does not measure the strength of a man." Still, that doesn't take the fun out of blasting a sentient banana to pieces with an RPG at Risky Reels. Fortnite is gearing up for its next big update, and as we ready up for Chapter 5 Season 2, Kratos could be getting ready to flex his muscles.

Epic Games is quick, but Fortnite dataminers are quicker. Like with any season of the battle royale favourite, leakers tend to spoil the surprise. Epic got its own back by trolling us with the delayed Titan Hand event, but as we get ready for the mythological revamp, everyone is excited to see what's new.

Young Kratos teased for Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 2

The Twitterverse is currently in a flurry that Young Kratos will be arriving in Chapter 5 Season 2. Whether that's via a mid-season Battle Pass or just a generic store skin, a fresh-faced Ghost of Sparta would definitely make his mark on this mythology-themed season.

Trusted Fortnite leaker ShiinaBR has pointed to a recent Epic Games survey that mentions the original God of War from 2005. Surveys are a great way of pinpointing future Fortnite skins, and we've previously seen them confirm Chapter 5 Season 1's Peter Griffin. Kratos has been in Fortnite before, but it was the older version from the 2018 reboot.

Players on the GamingLeaksandRumours subreddit were equally impressed, with one cheering, "I already have the Norse one but I'd instantly buy a classic Kratos skin. Especially if had his blades as the backbling and pickaxe since there's already an animation for chain pickaxes from Ghost Rider."

Another cheered, "I was thinking a Hades Zagreus skin would be a cool collab skin in the pass, but I'd take a young Kratos over him any day," while someone concluded, "A very good opportunity to add Kratos during Greek Era." With just a matter of days until the new season drops, we don't have long to wait.

Fortnite's Kratos skin is one of the rarest

Way back when, Kratos made his mark on the Fortnite store in Chapter 2 Seadon 5. It was the bounty hunter season that saw everyone from The Mandalorian to Halo's Master Chief jump into battle, and was particularly memorable because it meant Kratos was on Xbox and Master Chief was on PlayStation thanks to cross-play.

Sadly, it's been a long Fimbulwinter because Kratos has been MIA from the shop ever since. The character's long hiatus means your OG Kratos skin is currently one of Fortnite's rarest. Although unconfirmed, we imagine the bearded Kratos will be returning to the shop alongside his younger version's debut.

We've already put together a dream Chapter 5 Season 2 wishlist, including everyone from Devil May Cry's Dante to Hades' Zagreus, and (obviously) Disney's Hercules. The Battle Pass might've already leaked, but until Epic sets the season live, we don't know who will and won't be stopping by the shop.
