Epic Games looks like it's going from zero to hero (just like that), as the next season of Fortnite gets ready to sit pretty atop Mount Olympus. As the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles crawl back to the sewers and Lady Gaga puts down her microphone, Chapter 5 Season 2 is just around the corner.

We've heard a lot about the new 'mythological' season of Fortnite, apparently pitting players against the gods and monsters of Greek mythology. While we've already set out our stall for crossovers with Disney's Hercules and Supergiant Games' Hades, the Battle Pass could be writing its own odyssey.

Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 2 Battle Pass might've leaked early

Dataminers have been faster than Hermes (the messenger, not the delivery service), digging into the files to find out what awaits. Noted dataminer HYPEX has found a series of teasers that refer to the following figures from Greek mythology:

  • Zeus
  • Cerberus
  • Hades
  • Poseidon
  • Medusa
  • Artemis
  • Ares
  • Aphrodite

The final skin is Odyssey, which is a Fortnite creation. HYPEX isn't sure whether she will be part of the Battle Pass or released as a Ranked reward. Interestingly, we've seen most of these designs before, as a 2023 Fortnite survey showed mythological skins

We shouldn't assume that the survey skins will be the final look for our Chapter 5 Season 2 Battle Pass offerings, and remember, the likes of Zeus and Poseidon haven't been shown before. Either way, things are already underway, as you can currently collect mosaic pieces to try and unlock the season's loading screen.

As Fortnite continues to embrace its crossover chaos, many are happy that the Battle Pass could be a wholly original one this season. The Fortnite Battle Pass typically contains at least one pop culture crossover, just like Peter Griffin featuring prominently in Chapter 5 Season 1.

As with any season of Fortnite, we're expecting an overhaul of the game's map. The Ruined Reels POI is already inspired by Greek architecture, so things are likely going down here. The new Odyssey NPC is currently at Ruined Reels, warning, "I can feel an ancient power growing on the island."

Similar to the TMNT Event Pass of Chapter 5 Season 1, a crossover with Avatar: The Last Airbender will reportedly have us parting with our V-Bucks this time around. Beyond that, there are all the typical shop refreshes, with players asking for a Percy Jackson collab.

Epic has already started teasing the next season in-game, so the leaks will be ramping up over the next few days. Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 2 is expected to go live on March 8, but look out for a message from the (Fortnite) gods.
