It sounds like the gods are listening to our prayers, as Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 2 could be gearing up for some mythological madness. Hades is opening the gates to the Underworld and tossing a bone to Cerberus as the rest of us head for the heights of Mount Olympus.

We've already heard about Chapter 5 Season 2 being a mythological adventure, but as Chapter 5 Season 1 heads into its endgame with Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Lady Gaga (a sentence we never thought we'd write), eager players are looking at what comes next.

Fortnite fans want a Hades crossover in Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 2

The good thing about Fortnite is that every update brings new files hiding in the backend, ready for dataminers to pick through them and spoil the surprise ahead of time. "Fortnite Underground" was the codename of Chapter 5 Season 1, and according to leakers, "Odyssey" is the next season's title.

The first Battle Pass skin seemingly shows off Athena, while a Cerberus skin looks like one of the coolest we've seen in a while. Alongside leaked skins, there's a mention of the Odyssey Six, a potential ability to open Pandora's Box, and Fortnite leaker Ako saying, "I might be biased but this might become my favorite season of all time."

Others on the GamingLeaksandRumours subreddit were suitably pumped for the season, and with it, they're throwing out their ideas for a crossover. With the theming of Greek mythology, there are plenty of calls for a collab with Supergiant Games' Hades. Remembering Hades 2 is supposedly coming in 2024, it's a match made in Elysium.

One fan simply wrote, "Zagreus PLEASE," while another added, "I just want Zagreus as a skin. With his stygius as a mythic weapon." A third said, "Dante and zagreus skins? plzplzplzplzplzplz." Of course, it wasn't just calls for a Hades crossover with the buff God of the Underworld and his wayward son.

God of War's Kratos is currently one of Fortnite's rarest skins because he's been MIA from the shop for so long, but we're pretty sure he'll be making a return. Someone else said, "Nahhh I’d die for a young kratos. That’s MY kratos lmfaoooo."

From Disney's Hercules to Percy Jackson, the Spartans of Halo to Devil May Cry, there are endless opportunities for Fortnite to make money here. With the recent Disney investment, we'd love to see a Herc skin with a Phil Back Bling.

Thankfully, there isn't long to wait until Chapter 5 Season 2 takes flight like Hermes. The current Battle Pass is scheduled to end on March 8, 2024, at 2 AM ET. Following a period of usual downtime, we're expecting Chapter 5 Season 2 to launch sometime around March 8 or March 9.

It's important to note the last season changed its end and extended its Battle Pass by a few days, so everything is subject to change. Either way, it sounds like Fortnite is about to go from zero to hero... just like that.
