It was always going to happen, wasn't it? Sony Santa Monica's God of War Ragnarok is still a couple of weeks away, but in classic style, its story is already being spoiled online. See, this is why we can't have nice things.

For once though, it looks like the fantasy epic is being spoiled by accident, as one reviewer is innocuously sharing screenshots to their Twitter (presumably) without even knowing they're doing it. Mistake or not, get ready to feel the wrath of Sony... boy.

What Are The God Of War Ragnarok Spoilers?

If you want to keep the God of War ins and outs a secret until you can feel the ping of a bow and arrow on your DualSense controller, we suggest you avoid the Twitter account of @Ps4Markus. We don't know who this mysterious leaker is, but by the looks of it, they're playing through a review copy of Ragnarok

We've looked at the screenshots in question, and while there's nothing majorly spoilery so far, the frequency that these images are being uploaded at means it's not long before some major plot points are bound to be spoiled. We shouldn't have to be this cautious so far ahead of time, so we'd get muting on social media if we were you.

When noted leaker Nibellion confirmed the leaks are out there - don't worry, it's not him - it caused a debate on whether it really is accidental. Some think that even if your PSN account is linked, it wouldn't be uploading these screenshots automatically. Nibel also goes on to suggest they've been purposefully uploaded.

Is This The End Of The Road For God Of War?

We bet it isn't long before the question of Kratos' fate is answered. Although there were originally plans to split the story over two games to get a Norse trilogy, that's been cut short. This means Ragnarok is our last trip to the Nine Realms. Even though this doesn't mean the franchise will end here, the fact it's rounding off this chapter has some fans thinking Kratos will kick the bucket.

Spoilers are sadly everywhere, and much like the entirety of The Last of Us Part II was leaked or Gotham Knights accidentally shipped a spoiler-filled artbook, it's a frustrating turn of events for any developer. We'll be keeping an eye on those God of War Ragnarok spoilers, but that's because we're gluttons for punishment.
