Twitch streamer "nalipls" has come forward to claim she has been the victim of a relentless stalker, who has apparently harassed her for the past two years.

Being a streamer can bring a whole heap of benefits and advantages that can leave us feeling envious. However, being in the public eye can also lead to many individuals being faced with serious and sometimes very dangerous risks. Sadly, more often than not, it is female streamers who regularly have to deal with such harassment. Although it doesn't always branch beyond social media, there can be terrifying occasions when female streamers have to deal with this harassment on their own doorstep.

Now, streamer nalipls has shared her horrifying ordeal with one alleged stalker and that she "almost died" because of the ordeal, which forced her to stop streaming altogether

What Happened To Nalipls?

On January 27, the Canadian Twitch streamer posted a TwitLonger, in which she claimed that she had been the victim of a stalker (who she referred to as "propain") over the past two years. Nalipls, best known for her World of Warcraft playthroughs, alleged that the harassment first started in July 2020 when she met the supposed the stalker at Blizzcon 2019.

He was a "long-term member and moderator" of her Twitch channel. She claimed that after she met propain, he proceeded to DM her and increasingly tried to get her attention during streams, even increasing his donation amounts.

Nalipls also shared an apparent screenshot of one of the DMs, in which the alleged stalker stated that he was coming to visit her in Canada from the United States, even though she said she wouldn't be comfortable with it. However, things only got more serious when Nalipls had to call the police when the stalker apparently threatened to kill himself after she exposed his fake account, which he used to post "inappropriate comments" on her pictures.

The stalker apparently then began editing images of Nalipls onto pictures of naked women, and then posted them on her social media. She also claimed that propain would pay others to do the same. He then proceeded to message her friends and followers "all day, every day" and tried sending a SWAT team to her house. The streamer claimed the ordeal eventually led to her taking "anxiety medication" and, at one point, she had to go to the emergency room due to "stress related heart issues."

Did Nalipls Begin Legal Proceedings Against The Alleged Stalker?

In the post, Nalipls claimed that she "started a GoFundMe for legal fees to get a restraining order against him." She continued: "Given that I live in Canada, and he lives in the United States, I was attempting to find a reputable lawyer in another country, which wasn't an easy task. The entirety of the GoFundMe went to the lawyer, and I ended up having to spend another $4000 of my own money [...] The money ran out before we even got to court because his lawyer kept delaying it." She eventually accepted a settlement, but the harassment continued. The events subsequently led to her to stop streaming and, as of writing, she has not posted a new video on her Twitch channel in two years.

Sadly, this isn't the first time that we've heard of a female streamer having to deal with such a traumatic event. For example, Elder Scrolls player Jade-Anh "Jadeyanh" shared her horrific ordeal with a stalker. Kaitlyn "Amouranth" Siragusa has also touched upon her experience along with Rachel 'Valkyrae' Hofstetter who was also targeted. As of writing, Nalipls has not commented further, however a huge amount of support for her post has been received online.
