Bae "Bang" Jun-sik has been welcomed back to the South Korean esports team T1. Could this have anything to do with streamer tyler1 having just recently parted ways with the group?

When it comes to the world of esports, teams can be pretty brutal when it comes to making sure it has the best players on the crew ready to pull victory out of the bag. As a result, it often involves team leaders having to be pretty brutal and often having to let players go at the drop of a hat.

However, this didn't appear to be the case with popular, yet controversial, former T1 team member tyler1 who officially parted ways with the group on February 1. But, it wasn't long before T1 announced a familiar face was re-joining the group. Subsequently, some fans have been left wondering whether the two events are connected in a way.

When Did T1 Welcome Bang Back To The Team?

On February 3, T1 revealed on Twitter that former teammate Bang was returning to the family, after having "retired" from esports in December 2021. Bang had his original start in 2012 when he debuted in NaJin Sword before moving on to play for Xenics Blast in 2013. From the end of 2013 until 2018, he played as part of T1, winning four LCK championships, two MSI championships, and two World Championships.

After working with T1, Bang went on to work for 100 Thieves, Evil Geniuses, LCK, and Afreeca Freecs, before officially retiring in December 2021. However, the recent announcement from T1 proves that Bang still has the esports bug and is keen to continue his career.

The announcement came much to the delight of T1 fans who were delighted to see Bang return to the team. As many welcomed the news with open arms, one very excited fan said: "My all-time fave ADC is finally home again. Welcome Back, Bang!" However, it wasn't long before tyler1's name appeared in the comments.

Is Bang Re-joining T1 Connected To Tyler1 Leaving The Team?

tyler1 has not yet responded to the news of Bang's return, but fans have been quick to point out that the news follows very closely after tyler1's departure from the team on February 1. Speaking about why he left the team, tyler1 denied that he was dropped by T1 because he was considered a "brand risk". Even though he has previously been criticised for his behaviour towards his fellow League Of Legends players and for his controversial comments

tyler1 hasn't responded to the news of Bang's return, as of writing. Of course, tyler1 isn't the only player to leave T1 and fans have only speculated as to whether the two events could be connected in some way. However, tyler1 did stress that his exit was a "mutual decision" between him and T1.
