Pokemon cards have been a persistent point of obsession for fans of the Pokemon game series... and even those who don't care all that much for the core Pocket Monster experience.

They've been around on playgrounds for decades now, and their popularity hasn't waned as players who traded for the coolest and shiniest in school have graduated to dedicated trainers in championships of the TGC. Now, The Pokemon Company is looking to change up the holidays in a sweet push to take over Halloween.

What Are The Pokemon TCG BOOster Bundles?

To coincide with Halloween this year, the Pokemon Trading Card Game has revealed a new collection of booster packs designed to be dished out instead of candy on Halloween.

The giant bags feature 40 mini-booster packs and a host of spooky beasties. The BOOster Bundles are already confirmed to include Gengar, Mimikyu and Polteageist. The packs themselves contain three cards each and will be available to buy through the Pokemon Center website and in stores.

If this wasn't enough, the Pokemon TGC BOOster Bundles come with some exclusives, as the seasonal packs will incorporate new cards from the Trick or Trade collection. Although they're designed to be saved for October 31, it's going to be pretty tough not to crack them all open ourselves.

When Are The BOOster Sets Launching?

Would you have guessed that the new BOOster bundles are coming out in time for Halloween? We're sure you did, but luckily, they're coming in good time - launch on September 1. That gives you nearly two months to catch 'em all for your collection.

Who knows which stores the bundles will arrive in, let alone if they'll make it over to UK shores, so we're just going to cross our fingers and hope that they're on their way. Here's hoping they are, because we're excited to buy them with the intention of dishing them out to trick-or-treaters, and just opening them ourselves. That's if they don't sell out first, of course.
