It seems that every time there is a fresh rivalry in esports, it's some branch of the loudmouthed FaZe Clan that is instigating it, or at least being one party in a back and forth exchange. Whether that be the long-standing flex on the Call of Duty scene between FaZe and OpTic Gaming, the content war between themselves and 100 Thieves, or even just public affairs with their former, and even current, list of streamers.

However, they may just have been slung into a social media brawl with Call of Duty League franchise New York Subliners, as the struggling CDL side has absolutely destroyed a FaZe Clan member with a hilarious comment on Twitter.

Subliners Suffer In CDL But Win The Social War

Subliners may not be winning any wars on the field in the CDL, with the NYXL franchised team sitting second-from-bottom of the standings after just four matches won from 13 despite boasting seven World Championship rings in their players' cabinets. Meanwhile, Atlanta FaZe, the subsidiary of the notorious Clan, are perched top of the standings with two Grand Final appearances in Stage 1 and 2, as the reigning champions look to find some further success in Vanguard.

However, the tables have been turned on social media, ahead of the Subliners' $50,000 Warzone tournament and CDL Home Series.

After interacting with the Clan's Lucas "FaZe Blaze" Mosing on Twitter, the content creator branded the social media manager as a "virgin", before asking who was running the account. He had no idea that the Subliners had a grenade in their back pocket.

NYSL Social Media Manager Gurshaan "Gursh" Arora played the ultimate Uno reverse card, taking the typical "your mum" comeback to a whole new level, posting a picture with the FaZe Clan content creators' sister. He added, "ask your sister," sending the community into a meltdown.

The body shot from the Subliners' account attracted the attention of the Call of Duty pro community, with personalities such as Sam "Octane" Larew and Anthony "Methodz" Zinni commenting "LMAOOOOOOOOOOOOO", and "I’m f**king crying", respectively.

FaZe Clan and New York Subliners' social media war may have to be put to one side though, as the Clan's Nuke Squad are pairing with Subliners' content creator Emily "Swishem" in the upcoming WarzoneMania III. Kris "Swagg" Lamberson, Diaz "Biffle", and Ean "Booya" Chase of FaZe will be competing alongside Swishem for a chance to grab $50k, which could be the ultimate comeback.

As for the Subliners' CDL team, if their roster can find this type of fight-back talk, they might not be in the race for the wooden spoon.
