The new trailer for Pokemon Scarlet & Violet is finally here, and it tells us all that we need to know about the brand-new adventure.

We've got our first peek at gameplay, with renders of the three wonderful starters, a tease at co-op adventures to be had across the new region, and the two new legendaries headlining the games, both of whom look absolutely sick.

Though many fans have felt as though this generation is much too soon after the launch of Pokemon Sword & Shield, most of them are simply happy to see a new Pokemon adventure, and one that's launching on November 18, no less.

But, no more than an hour after the trailer's launch, it clearly has a star that shines above the rest. And that's our squeaky, snorty girl herself.

Lechonk Is The Star Of The New Pokemon Trailer

The trailer for Pokemon Scarlet & Violet shows us familiar Pokemon as well as brand-new ones, including the adorable Pawmi and Smoliv - but there's one Pokemon that has already taken the internet by storm.

One minute and eighteen seconds into the trailer we see her, shuffling through a bush towards the trainer watching on. Lechonk, the wonderfully rotund piggy lets out a vaguely intimidating snort as the camera zooms hard on her, and the trainer enters a battle with the level 2 Pokemon.

Lechonk doesn't get an awful lot of screentime, but the internet has latched on and is already refusing to let go. She's a squeaky little basketball of love, and even though she's likely a very early game capture, probably on the first route out of your hometown, fans are already ecstatic to see what Lechonk will become on her adventure. Probably a very angry, very large, very spherical pig. But we're okay with that.

I Would Die, And Kill, For Lechonk

Look at her. Look at her.

What a delightful little ray of sunshine. There's little I wouldn't do for this wee piggy, and I've known them for less than an hour. She stands idle with a glint of curiosity in her eye, and strikes with a furrowed brow of determination. Lechonk is a Pokemon that won't have much application in high-level battles, but god damn, she's sure as hell gonna try her very best, and frankly, that's all we can ask any Pokemon to do.

Pokemon Scarlet & Violet already boasts a fascinating sum of Pokemon as seen in the trailer, but none of them can stand up to our wonderful Lechonk. There's no point in hoping for anything better in the franchise, let alone the new games, because this is as good as it gets. And this is as pure a Pokemon as we've ever seen. This is the peak.

Lechonk Is Going To Take Over The World

We know nothing about Lechonk, but we know everything we need to know. Lechonk is the best Pokemon we've had in years, and I would lay my life on the line if it meant I could protect the paunchy piggy.

Paunchy, I would kill and die for you. And if you, dear reader, ever did anything to threaten this tender little ball of love, don't think you're not included on my list for vengeance. When you come to play Pokemon Scarlet & Violet, I beg of you - be kind to Lechonk. That's the least she deserves.
