We hope you've been working out, because it's time to lift your Leviathan Axe for God of War Ragnarok. As the preorders go live and we swarm Midgard looking for copies, the God of War Ragnarok Jotnar Edition is already being scalped and sold for ridiculous sums.

Sony Santa Monica's much-hyped sequel to 2018's God of War soft reboot will round off Kratos and Atreus' time in Norse mythology - so it could be one for the history books. As is the norm these days, there are various collector's editions to stump up the cash for, with the Jotnar Edition sure to sit pride of place on anyone's shelf... if you can get your hands on one.

How Much Is The God Of War Ragnarok Jotnar Edition?

Orders have only just gone live in parts of the world, but over in Australia, the God of War Ragnarok Jotnar Edition barely touched the ground before it was sold out. The game was an exclusive to JB Hi-Fi in Australia and cost $400 AUD - meaning it was $80 above the already pricey Collector's Edition.

The God of War Ragnarok Jotnar Edition reportedly sold out in just 15 minutes, but as has become sadly commonplace in the world of video games, you can pick up a copy on eBay. Well, if you've just won the lottery. As shared by Press Start, there were copies of the Jotnar Edition listed for $1,500.

Although ludicrous sums for special editions of games are nothing new on auction sites, they tend to just be fanciful prices that don't get reached. However, it looks like the God of War Ragnarok Jotnar Edition has actually been sold. There's a chance that these orders won't complete, but at the time of writing, they've seemingly gone through.

Will You Be Able To Grab The God Of War Ragnarok Jotnar Edition?

Across the board, the God of War Ragnarok Jotnar Edition is selling out within a matter of minutes. If you aren't a scalper and manage to secure one, count yourselves lucky. Of course, there have already been complaints about Sony Santa Monica's bizarre decision to have both the Collector's Edition and Jotnar Edition include a steelbook but no actual disc. It seems like a strange turn to have a collector's edition that doesn't include a physical copy of the game.

With the Ragnarok preorders now live, it looks like the internet is going wild for what could be Kratos' last adventure. The God of War Ragnarok release date became an industry obsession after SSM pushed the fantasy epic from 2021. There were also worries that it'd slip into 2023, but now, it looks like a November 9 release is locked in. As Kratos and Thor go head to head, it's hammer time.
