God Of War Ragnarok Collector's Edition Might Include Thor's Hammer
It's (hopefully) nearly hammer time over at Sony Santa Monica, as the Ghost of Sparta gets ready to flex his muscles in God of War Ragnarok. Kratos' Norse mythology is coming to an end following 2018's God of War reboot, and now, we've got our first tease of what the God of War Ragnarok Collector's Edition could include.
Leading the charge for PlayStation exclusives is the long-running God of War franchise. Up there with The Last of Us and Horizon, God of War is a major reason for gamers to buy a PlayStation over an Xbox. We won't jump into the drama surrounding the Ragnarok delay, but with those at the top repeatedly promising the much-hyped sequel is out this year, we're dying to know more about the game.
What's In The God Of War Ragnarok Collector's Edition?

Although he's not always on the money with these things, it's plausible to believe SSM will have a couple of versions of the game - after all, it worked for Elden Ring and continues to work for Call of Duty every year.
Henderson reiterates that a proposed God of War Ragnarok release announcement was recently delayed. Alongside finally giving us a date to mark in the diary, he claims it would've come with a blog outlining the different versions of the AAA title. The big talking point here is the mention of Collector's and Jotnar Editions of Ragnarok.
If Henderson is right, the Jotnar Edition will come with a 1:1 scale replica of Thor's infamous hammer, Mjolnir. Henderson is less sure what else comes in the edition(s), however, he says there could be generic maps and badges, while the big selling point of the Jotnar Edition is Mjolnir.
How Much Is The God Of War Ragnarok Collector's Edition?
While the Marvel Cinematic Universe and Chris Hemsworth have made Mjolnir famous, remember Ryan Hurst's beefier Thor showed up at the end of 2018's God of War with his own version of the mythical mallet. The Elden Ring Premium Collector's Edition came with a hefty RRP of £229.99 and included a statue of Malenia and a 1:1 helmet replica, but at the time of writing, we don't know how much the Jotnar Edition costs (if it even exists).
Sony Santa Monica is yet to comment on any of the above, so for now, we're left waiting for an official God of War Ragnarok release date and confirmation on whether we'll have to start saving our gold coins to splash out on a replica of Thor's hammer. Still, the ability to spin our hammer around the living room like we're our very of God of Thunder sounds pretty great.
