Fall Guys is really starting to kick back into gear, and it's a sight to behold - but are you ready for a Sonic the Hedgehog map? The party game truly blasted into popularity during the pandemic, and inevitably suffered a pretty huge drop-off. All the while though, fans loved what Mediatonic brought to the table.

The bouncy brawler is one of the most simple yet effective indie games we've seen emerge from the last few years. At least Epic Games seemed to think so, and while they're pumping their money into the Mediatonic offices, theirs is the only opinion that matters.

The game's crossovers do an awful lot for the game's continued support, and now that it has gone free-to-play and is packing Assassin's Creed, Halo, and even Among Us cosmetics, it's becoming much akin to a game show Fortnite - but now, a new and unexpected crossover is about to land, and it seems pretty massive.

Is A Sonic Map Coming To Fall Guys?

It's time for your bean to go fast, it would seem, as leaks are suggesting that a brand new crossover with Sonic The Hedgehog is gearing up to land in Fall Guys soon. A brand-new datamine has revealed an upcoming stage titled "Bean Hill Zone" will be arriving in Fall Guys soon. From a single glance, it's clear to see exactly what the stage's name is a reference to.

The map features the rings that we've seen from other Fall Guys maps, but stylised in the form of Sonic's rings. The aesthetics of the rest of the map match up with the classic games, right the way down to the design of the bouncy bumpers. We've already seen a Sonic costume in Fall Guys, so this is a crossover that makes sense.

When Will The Sonic Map Land In Fall Guys?

You'd expect that with Sonic Frontiers and Sonic Prime on the way later this year, this event would be timed to coincide with the launch of one of these projects. Given that this datamine has come out now, it'd be surprising to see Mediatonic hold onto the content until then, and there's every chance that the map could come this season as a result.

Who knows, maybe this could come as part of a new event similar to the current Spartan Showdown? We're just going to have to wait and see for now. Sonic's return to Fall Guys is incredibly welcome - especially if he's bringing a new map with him. See you in Bean Hill Zone.
