Call of Duty: Vanguard Set for November 5 Release With Integrated Zombies, 16 Maps, And Destructible Environments

Call of Duty: Vanguard has arrived! The upcoming WWII title has dropped the bomb on Verdansk which is set to be whisked away as we port back to the trenches in a thrilling, yet beautifully rustic, multiplayer experience.
In a live event through Warzone, the trailer for Call of Duty: Vanguard has been released, and much like the atomic missiles hurtling from the Spitfire aircraft, it's come with one hell of a bang.
Call of Duty: Vanguard Officially Launches On November 5
As the armoured train in the PVE Warzone event was blown to smithereens and players weaved through multiple waves of nukes, the Call of Duty: Vanguard trailer revealed that the franchise's next instalment will be landing on November 5.
With much of the campaign on display in the trailer, some huge announcements were littered within.
Call of Duty: Vanguard Set For 16 Multiplayer Maps on Launch
Sledgehammer Games have revealed that 16 multiplayer maps will be available upon the launch of the game, all boasting 6v6 gameplay - the largest number of original maps released at the start of a CoD title in the history of the franchise.
A further four maps (2v2) will accompany the chunky line-up, taking the mass total to 20.
Zombies Will Continue In Call of Duty: Vanguard
Despite Sledgehammer taking the reins this year, Treyarch is spearheading the Zombies project once again, and have confirmed that the Dark Aether storyline will roll over into the new title.
Brand-new maps will become available upon the launch of the title, although the details for which have been kept under lock and key. It is expected that a new Zombies Chronicles will also be accompanying Vanguard in the future, allowing the story to easily flow between titles.
New Champions Hill Mode Confirmed For Call of Duty: Vanguard
The Four 2v2 maps won't strictly be the tiny cut-ups that we've seen in Gunfight in previous titles. Instead, the minuscule teams will actually be playing in a battle royale-esque environment, making these maps much larger than the standard 6v6 ones.
Champions Hill will be a fast-paced team free-for-all, in which the objective is to be the last man, duo, or trio standing.
Gunsmith Returns In Call of Duty: Vanguard
Just as we've seen in Warzone, Black Ops, and Modern Warfare, Gunsmith options will persist in Call of Duty: Vanguard. With new custom ballistics and reactive environments, your loadout will be more pivotal than ever before. The destructive environments will weigh heavily on explosions and persistent bullets, emphasising FMJ and Flak Jacket.
Dead Silence and Slide Cancelling will also be a part of the multiplayer experience, with the game ran on the Modern Warfare engine.
